Things to do
Historic Spekes Mill Waterfall
Follow the farm's green lane down the valley to Speke's Mill Beach and ancient waterfall.
Local Produce
In high season we stock a small honesty box of produce grown in our farm's kitchen garden, and eggs from our chickens.
You can also find local produce at:
- The Hartland Farmers Market (First Sunday morning of each month)
- Post office, Hartland
- Pop-in Village store, Hartland
Further afield (but worth it):
- Little Pig Farmshop, Kilkhampton
- Woolsery Farm shop
- Electric Bakery, Bude (Thu-Sun)
South West Coastal Path
Follow the farm's green lane to join the the English Heritage Coastal Footpath at Spekes' Mill Mouth. Head North towards Hartland Quay and Hartland point or South towards Welcombe mouth.
From 2024 guests are also able to enjoy the new walkway created through Galsham wood, which leads down into Speke's Valley and the ancient lanes on the top side of the farm leading towards the pond and the village of Hartland.
Hartland Quay
Our local beach. Enjoy high tide swimming in the old harbour and watch the sunset with a pint and chips in the pub. A good place to park and join the coastal path to shorten a walk.
Hartland Village
The historic village of Hartland is home to three cosy country pubs, a village store, post office and several artist's and potter's galleries. Our recommendations for the best food locally: - The Anchor Inn, Hartland - Pattards Restaurant, Hartland - The Farmer's Arms, Woolsery (Woolfardisworthy)
